Our First Project of the Year with Art 1
Every artist has a unique story to tell, and our first project is all about discovering yours!
Students will create an Art Identity Box that represents who they are as individuals and as emerging artists. Using color, symbols, images, words, and meaningful objects, students will transform an ordinary box into a personal work of art that reflects their interests, experiences, values, dreams, and creative identity.
Throughout this project, students will:
Explore how artists express identity through art.
Learn about symbolism and visual storytelling.
Practice creative thinking and artistic decision-making.

Art 2 Featured Project
Our Art 2 students will have the exciting opportunity to participate in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Hispanic Heritage Month Virtual Exhibition.
This year's theme is:
Students will create original two-dimensional or low-relief artworks that celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic communities. Through research, creativity, and personal expression, students will explore how art can honor heritage while sharing meaningful stories and perspectives.
Selected student artwork will be featured in the district's Hispanic Heritage Month Virtual Exhibition, where it will be viewed by School Board Members, district leaders, community members, families, and thousands of visitors throughout the community.

Art 3 Featured Project
Our Art 3 students will participate in the MIA Gallery Student Exhibition, where they will explore the fascinating world of myths, legends, and storytelling through original works of art.
Throughout history and across cultures, myths have introduced unforgettable heroes, guardians, tricksters, dragons, unicorns, and other legendary figures that represent courage, wisdom, transformation, and the human experience.
For this project, students will create an original two-dimensional or low-relief artwork inspired by an archetype or legendary character. They may choose to reinterpret a traditional myth, explore symbols from different cultures, or invent an entirely new character with its own story and meaning.
